You habe to be kidding right? The current front office setup is one of the worst in football according to many GM's around the league (See Wilbon Article). As Wilbon wrote you can't win in this league with a coach/GM as Gibbs is now because he can't devote the necessary time to do the GM job correctly. He did well in Gibbs I because he devoted all his time to coaching.
My idea of adding a GM is not to have another cook in the kitchen but to have an experienced, professional front office person making the right decisions so the Redskins stop getting fleeced with giving up their draft picks. Look at Holmgren in Seattle - he is a great coach but when he was also the GM when he first took the job the Seahawks were terrible. You can look at the Redskins and say the same thing here.
And Vinny Cerrato - I think the majority of posters on this board would disagree with your viewpoint that he is a good player personnel director.
