Precisely -- I mean, wouldn't we be aghast if, all of the sudden, Snyder decided he had had enough of GGrilliamss and relieved him of his coaching responsibilities but put him in charge of punters or something, and just refused to talk to him about it for the better part of a work year?

On JLC's WashPost blog, there was a great comment about how when Wellington Mara died, all the players were commenting on how professionally and respectfully he always treated them. Maybe Snyder doesn't care, but right now his legacy is pretty horrible-looking. Wins, losses, and ticket prices are one issue, but how you treat professionals in your organization are another thing entirely.
