Very good thread. I think building the special teams up is a very smart move, it's a way for your back-ups to still contribute to the team without actually having to start a game.

Obviously, when injuries come, it will hurt. I think that this was a particularly unlucky year, and the current philosophy still remains a good one. I don't think it should be an issue normally, and this year was doomed from the start.
