And they not only lost to Michigan and USC, they were completely demolished. That's not the same as slugging through the SEC, I'm sorry. Compared to what every other major conference team has to face that's pretty damn weak.

If you want to argue they are a top 25, or even top 15 team, that's fine, but they had no business being in a BCS bowl. What LSU did to them was painful to watch. They just didn't have the talent to stand toe to toe with those guys.
I like how you found massive flaws in Ga. Tech, Penn St., Navy, and UCLA..but completely ignored that Michigan and USC (and LSU) all were top 5 teams.

In the wake of OSU getting demolished in the title game, would it be unreasonable to say that the three BEST teams in College Football this year were Michigan, LSU, and USC? Certainly Florida (and Ohio State) should be in that discussion, but I'm not sure they would have beaten ANY of those teams.

We don't know very much about Notre Dame. We know they weren't talented enough to run with some of the powerhouses this year. But if you think they are overrated, consider that they are rated 17 right now. Are you going to tell me that there are 16 NCAA teams better than them when they were undefeated against teams not in the Top 6?
