I know this point has been made many times before but I'm going to make it again. The problem is not with players like AA and Lloyd per say, but rather, with the lack of depth eschewing the draft leaves us with. Hence, when a player like Springs goes down, we have no body left to replace him. This is where third, fourth, and fifth round picks become important, guys whose careers are on the bubble, who are hungry, and trying desperately to make the case that they are NFL caliber players. We went into last season as a team not built to sustain any injuries to any key positions, and we saw how that worked out.
