On reflection there's no way their final real offer was 12 for 3.

First: 12 for 3 is too low even by old standards.
Second: There's no way we offered a 3 year deal. We sign 56 year old LBs to 6 year deals for cap purposes.(exageration) I am guessing the 12 for 3 is a miscommunication.
Third: Even when we "low-balled" players in the past it wasn't THAT bad.
Fourth: If that was our best offer then Dock is a pretty gracious guy to not spit in the FO's face on the way out. Dock even sounded pretty magnanomous. A guy getting pool-cue skewered with a crap offer like 12 for 3 wouldn't do that even if he was the nicest guy in the world.

It's totally unbelievable.
