I repeat, Doc is an unrestricted free agent, so we won't receive any compensatory picks from Buffalo. After four years in the league, a player whose contract has expired becomes unrestricted for upcoming free agency. Restricted Free Agency only applies to guys whose contracts have expired within their first 3 years in the league. Laveranues Coles and Matt Bowen are both excellent examples of players the Skins have picked up as RFA's, and had to compensate their prior teams with draft choices.
