Here are the stats for Daniel Graham, the highest paid TE in the league.

If Cooley is a priority, and I believe he should be, we need to treat him as such. He was our top receiver last year, and tied the team lead for receiving touchdowns. Among TEs on the team he had eleven times more catches than all others combined.

Cooley blocks - well. He does everything he is asked to do. He is a free spirit on the team without being a disruption (to anyone but the cheerleaders). Frankly, I think a lot of what we have done with the cap lately (the Brunell refinance which makes him a free agent next year, etc.) is to make sure we have a little cash next year for the Chris Cooleys of the team.
