It wasn't offensive but some of the dimmer and whinnier members got really bent out of shape when the mods made an annoucement that they had decided to split apart and have their own sites. Matty was becoming too egotisitical and wanted to go one direction with the site while TAFSmootSmackAS and his band of followers wanted to go another direction. While I believe a good number of the brighter members realized quickly is was a joke some others got pissy either for falling for it or because it 'was mean'. This was the beginning of the end for SBF as he got increasingly heated throughout the disucssion resulting I believe in either a temp ban or at least a serious warning. It was quite the drama and to this day I am amazed at how bitchy some people got.
