The defense in Super Bowl XVII (the Riggins run), especially the pass defense.
Miami had a 76-yard pass for a TD in the first half - and 80 net yards passing for the game.
They had 4 pass completions in the game - and 1 in the second half. (And got picked off once.)
They had 96 (net) yards running.
Excluding the pass play they had 100 net (offensive) yards.
I was watching in a neutral site (Boston). There were a lot of annoying Miami rooters there. The second half was spent just waiting to see if the Skins could overcome the big pass play and the kick return. The moment Riggins scored the Dolphins fans left. Even though the Skins were only up by 3 and there were 10 minutes left, everyone in the room knew the Dolphins wouldn't score again.

Great post. I was only 5 years old when that game was on, and I remember none of it. I've seen plenty of highlights, and I knew our D was great that day, but not lights out to that extent. I'll be watching that game in it's entirety as soon I can get my hands on it. God, I love me some defense!
