I find it hard to believe that the owners would cut even one preseason game.

Correct if I'm wrong, but I believe most teams do not have preseason games included in their season ticket packages.

So, teams make a significant amount of revenue from extra ticket sales in addition to the fact that players are not paid for preseason games.

I don't know, I might be talking out of my ass right now, but I thought this is why they haven't already cut preseason games.
