-Vinny's main job is to coordinate scouting. To get rid of him within even 2 or 3 months of the draft would be dumb since he is the one who created the scouting procedures and such. That secod reason is why teams generally don't rid themselves of personell people until immediately after the draft or immediately after the season. Any other time and they have gained too much info to be let go.
