But, it's kind of hard to swallow that the team gave up this year's 2nd rounder for a guy that they were about to replace with Lance Briggs. Maybe Rocky will be a stud, but their attempt to replace him doesn't inspire confidence. It's similarly hard to swallow that we lost the opportunity to draft guys like CB Marcus McCauley, DT Tank Tyler, S Aaron Rouse, CB Daymeion Hughes, and DT Quinn Pitcock because we traded for Duckett.

With the FO taking a stand on Rocky not being part of the deal for Briggs, I see that as a sign that the Briggs trade talks might have more to do with how unsure they are of Marcus coming back from his major hip surgery than Rocky's ability to be one of the starting lbs.
