Plus it gives a tremendous amount of flexibility that the Skins did not have last year. Like if (or when) Springs gets hurt you could move Smoot in at corner, you have David Macklin at nickel and Pierson could also play in the nickel (as he did some in 2005). I guess they are looking to rush Marcus more from what Gibbs said at his presser and we'll hope they can generate some pass rush with LB's and DB's coming. I guess you can look at it as they did not have any real pass rushers in 2005 and the defense played well. At #6 I think Landry was the right pick. Would have been nice to move down a bit and get Okoye, but from how everything played out it is pretty obvious that no one wanted to move up. Landry is far superior to Okoye at this point and much more deserving of that high a pick.
