Yeah, my raven friends have been arguing that by years end dawan landry+ ed reed > Taylor and Laron. I've conceded that reed is better than taylor overall at this point in time but they've conceded that sean taylor is more intimidating hitter. Those raven fans are really up on dawan though.
I can't wait to see sean taylor and dawan just kill someone out there. I have always wanted a big hitter with taylor. Everyone was happy with arch taking that spot. I remember someone was selling a t-shirt called bash bros with the numbers 21 and 40 on it.
Laron is going to be able to plug up the run when needed and catch up to anyone on the field. I hope that taylor and him make each other better. All indications are that laron is a quick learner so lets hope he can pick up the system fast. Playing all 4 years at LSU is not an easy thing and having experience at both CB and Safety just builds on his experience. Laron could have easily been drafted last year but decided to stay in school. They say his real problems are going for a big hit over a sure tackle and his hands. His catching ability can't be worse than carlos's though.
I want to go back to the 2004-05 D with blitzes from everywhere. We never really did have a good d-line and we still were successful. Now we have a super fast and strong backfield and can easily afford to send a blitzer from the secondary and still have coverage back there. It will be mayhem.
