It reminds me of when Lawrence Taylor gave a press conference where he talked in detail about many of his past offenses, and Jim Rome called him out, saying he's proud that he did this stuff, not ashamed.
If you really have accepted what you did in the past as sinful then I'm sorry, you shouldn't be bragging about it to the guys on the warpath. And you were bragging.
