Washington Redskins coach Joe Gibbs yesterday addressed running back Clinton Portis' much-criticized comments about dogfighting for the first time. However, Gibbs basically just stuck with the statement of apology the team released Tuesday.
"How seriously we take it as the Redskins and myself is that statement we put out," Gibbs said. "That captures my feelings. I have addressed the issue with Clinton."
