I'm not trying to make light of the situation as far as the car show thing. I know that it is for a good cause and everything. But, my ass is still a bit chapped from that pathetic showing from a defensive standpoint. And the fact that, to me the most glaring need is not secondary help, but D-line.

See, you should just say that. When you start bitching about car shows and things like that it's hard for anyone to believe you have anything worth saying.
If you just said that you believed the weaknesses on the defense last year were attributed to poor performance from the D-Line, and that's where our focus needs to be then your post would carry more weight.
