Micheal Jackson's freakish descent makes us forget how great he was and Off the Wall was him at his greatest. This fits in with my theory that an artist's best record is the one right before the one that everyone knows about. As does Revolver. Other examples include Life's Rich Pageant by REM, The Unforgettable Fire by U2, and the first Fleetwood Mac album. Or rather the first one with Buckingham/Nicks.
Songs in the Key of Life is killer too.
