I think there is no better time for us to head to NY. The starting QB is pissed because he got benched and the coach didn't have to guts to tell him. The rookie QB, who told Warner he was benched, got absolutely rocked. The team is fighting with the coach. The weather is bad which hurts the deep ball (which I'm not convinced either of the gints QB's can throw right now anyway).
ON THE OTHER HAND. The SKins are buying into Gibbs and his sytem. Guys are working out on their off days. The o-line is feeling good about themselves and taking ANY hits on the QB personally. The defense is flying around the ball.
So here's what we need to do:
1. run, run, run
2. stretch the field with Laverneous and Thrash to open up the underneath routes for Colley, Rasbey, Gardner, Portis etc... and get Brunell is a groove.
3. blitz the crap out of them and try to get to warners fragile ego early.
4. not allow the deep ball to get us by having the FS double up on Tommer when he's more than 15yds down the field.
This could be a huge win, in NY, for the skins if they keep proressing from their first game.
