I don't have a big beef with #10, because its well within our abilities, but its assuming a bunch of things:
- That Taylor will improve his pass coverage
- That Rogers will improve his pass coverage
- That Archuleta was as horrible statically last year as he was anecdotelly, and that replacing him with the run of the mill SS (either a rookie Landry, or a journeyman) actually improves our defense.
- That Springs will be healthy, and if not, Smooty can step in with little to no dropoff.
- Or that Laron Landry starts off what will be a historically great career with a much better than expected rookie performance. (Because if Scouts Inc is assuming Landry to be anything above replacement as a rookie DB, they really have to reexamine their methods of player eval).
- And of course, that we get the right guys on the field regardless of reputation. If Taylor costs us a lot of touchdowns right off the bat, sit him to clear his head, or at the very least to improve the team. Same goes for Rogers. Don't abuse Landry before he is ready.
