Not because he has tendinitis, but because he's not the kind of hard worker you need at the RB position to hold up in the long term.
RBs historically wear out very quickly. Most are shadows of their former selves by the time they're 30. The ones who last longer (Curtis Martin, Emmitt Smith) are the ones who work their butts off to stay in shape and healthy.
I think Portis will be good this year, maybe even just as good as he was 2 years ago when he ran for 1500+ for us. But I don't see him ever being as electric as he was in Denver.
That's not to say he still won't be a good back, but I don't think he's going to get any better.
