I agree. I really don't think the previous coaching staffs have catered to his strength, which is attacking as a downhill tackler and blitzer. I'd like to see what he can do in an aggressive, attacking scheme like Williams' defense. The Skins have too much money tied up in him to give up on him so quickly.
Cutting Trotter after June 1st will simply push his cap hit to 2005, when the money is expected to be pretty tight against the cap anyway, in addition to the fact that the Skins will be trying to re-sign Fred Smoot (hopefully). I don't want to see Smoot let go simply because the Skins were impatient with Trotter. Trotter is still a fairly young guy, and he could make tremendous improvements under Williams' guidance.
