However, I'm willing to give Sean a pass on last season because the whole D was bad and I said all along that I think he was trying to cover for everyone else. Let the guy be a ball hawk, don't put him in the box, let him roam around 20 yards deep and make plays on balls in the air the way he did his rookie year when he shut Randy Moss up.

Once again, I attribute much of his perceived struggles last season to a defense that didn't produce, so he tried to put it on his shoulders. He was trying to bail everyone out and paid for it.

i agree with this. but there probably should have come a time when taylor realized he was making him self look bad by trying to cover up other peoples miscues. he was basically compounding the problem
