Also, he has a really weak arm. I think defenses would very quickly have a solution for a QB that doesn't throw past ten yards. It's good to throw to the backs and tight ends, but at some point you have to be able to deliver the 18 yard out before the CB jumps it. We would be very limited with him in the game.
Of course, Brunell has his own drawbacks. He holds the ball too much and he melts under pressure. But, his arm looked pretty strong last night. He plays better at the end of games when he HAS to throw the ball. Before that point he plays too cautiously.
It's a tossup. Bottom line is that without Campbell we won't have much offense. He needs to play. I would let Brunell backup based on the salary cut he took. I really don't see Collins as an improvement anyway.
