Age has more to do with it than anything. Steve McNair and Trent Green are AT BEST average QBs in this league right now, with one foot out the door towards retirement. Pete Kendall is an average guard in this league, with one foot out the door towards retirement. They're worth the same in terms of draft picks because Kendall takes up a lot less cap space than McNair and Green do.
Yeah I'd rather have a solid LG in camp back in July, but we didn't. This is making the best of a tough situation.

I got it from this mornings Post. If he plays 80% of the plays it becomes a 4th round pick and I am sure he will play 80%.
I agree this is making the best of a bad situation but the skins should not be in this situation. This is what happens when you give away draft picks over time. Unfortunately the Skins just cant learn their lesson and now they appear caught in a cycle of not having players (they drafted) in place when needed so they have to resort to signing old players and giving away the future in the form of draft picks.
