I want to point out that I agreed with everything else you said, EXCEPT the above quote.
I have to assume you live in another country and have missed how dead awful Brees has been. Due to this fact, I will give you his stats:
677 yards, 1 td and 7 int's.
Phillip Rivers: 886 yards, 5tds, and 6 int's. (also 1% better comp%).
I'm not saying Rivers is a super stud right now, but no freakin way can you say Brees is the answer when he has a better receiving core in NO than Rivers has in SD and is doing twice as bad.
It seems to be PC to jump on Rivers and dog him...but fact is, the plays have sucked for SD. Even ESPN saw that LT wasn't getting goal line looks, he wasn't even in the game for many plays. This has Norv stench all over it. He is a loser as a coach and he spread his infection in SD.
