Is it just me, or is it a down year for most big name players and most teams in general?Shawn Alexander, LT, Larry Johnson, Frank Gore, Marc Bulger, Drew Brees, Donovan McNabb, Steve Smith, and others who usually are top-performers are stumbling out of the gate. Teams like the Saints, Eagles, Bears, Charger, Bengals and others are struggling. What's up?

Parity parity parity. It's amazing how a bad or mediocre team one year can be good or great the next. Salary cap? Injuries? Who knows. So many factors. I'll tell you one thing (and anyone who plays fantasy football will agree), the days of one-back teams are fading fast. This year more than ever is showing the emergence of multiple running back systems.
Bears- No QB, Chargers- Norv Turner, Bengals - No D, Eagles - ??, Saints - ??. Crazy year so far. Aside from the Colts and Pats, the playoff teams in each conference are becoming more and more of a toss up each year...
