Don't get me wrong, Landry is a beast, and the best pick we could have made given the circumstances. He is the better player, and he and ST make the best Saftey Tandem in the league, but if someone were willing to trade up, and we could have gotten Okoye, AND some more young talent, I would have been much happier, but no complaints really, Im really excited to watch ST and Landry develop together.

I think what you said last about ST and Landry is huge important. Getting Okoye or one of the stud ends that each went to Atlanta and Tampa were 2nd best choices (even on a good trade down deal) because w/ Landry we basically got a better ST. Taylor trusts Landry to be a huge presence in the box so that he can contain the deep threat the way he did in college (tons of interceptions). I think Taylor's philosophy for SS is to punish guys so bad they don't want to go across the middle, and when we didn't have one who could do that Taylor had to play in the box way too much.
I'm just saying Landry was the very best pick to improve our D as a unit IMO.
