I really think the era is coming to a close no matter what (Gibbs 2.0), he might retire end of this season.
Of course, Snyder would get crucified for publicly insulting Gibbs w/ a hit like that, but since Gibbs has pretty much taken a back seat when it comes to coaching what about bringing someone in to replace Saunders? What about bringing in the next coach now as the General Manager to restore discipline, organization, time/training/strengthening management.
I'm really just saying that aside from the D under GW there seems to be a lack of leadership, and some guys out there are proven leaders. I don't know what's gone wrong w/ the offense under Gibbs/Saunders, but excuses for everything under the sun can't be the answer.

This is the first season since Gibbs has been back where consistency on offense has been a problem. Last year it was the defense that was historically inconsistent, not the offense. Back in 2004, the offense was consistently bad.
Yeah, it's not pretty when they go cold for a half, but what are you going to do? Not try anything that could result in a turnover? Kneel the ball in the 3rd quarter? Sometimes bizarre things happen. It was only a 3 point game. Whatever. Moving on...
