Aside from the poor coverage on the opening kickoff (tried to pin Washington to the right, and overpursued), the Redskins played a solid game all around.

I was reading an article over the weekend about Al Saunders, and the one thing that sticks out was the fact that he sets up the offense to compliment the defense. They are playing conservative because their defense is good enough to keep them in games (ala the Baltimore Ravens). Yesterday, the Redskins did take some shots downfield, and we will see more of that in the weeks to come.

A win is a win, no matter how pretty or how ugly it is. And, who's to say you can't make improvements after win? A struggling Philly team comes to town this weekend. They always seem to play up when they play the Skins...so a battle will ensue come Sunday.

5-3 is great. 6-3 for a team that won 5 games last year is a very nice change of pace. Be proud to be a Skins fan...
good read. and maybe instead of all the bitching, be proud?
