How about a little optimism as opposed to what you call "realism", because realistically, anybody can beat anybody in this league. All the redskins offense needs to do is start averaging about 7-10 more points a game and there aren't many teams out there that can beat them.  |
I'm with you on this. I don't think we're that far off. Really, it's just a matter of turning these drives that end in field goals into drives that end in touchdowns. Not an easy task but it can be done. The challenge is really to get the passing game going, which I think won't fully happen until they get McCardell (who at this time I think may be their best receiver) more involved.
This weekend is huge for us, but it's too early to hand the division to the Cowboys. Look at the Giants last year. They were 6-2 at this point and then barely made the playoffs at 8-8. Not likely the Cowboys will collapse like that, but as long as we take care of our business I think we can stay in the thick of things.
But then, I guess that's why I'm not part of the Tylenol laced with cyanide crowd around here.
