Re: Why dont the Redskins use audibles?
wow glad i clicked on this thread b/c it discusses something that is worth considering and i learned a few things. thanks for the informative posts guys, wish i could contribute but my depth of knowledge on al saunders and audibles was zero before reading this thread.
but i agree, audibles at the line of scrimmage can work well in the NFL, especialy in an offense that everyone is calling predictable but i think campbell needs more time in the NFL (only has 16 starts to date) before he can be trusted to properly and accurately read defenses and call audibles . . . of course audibles could be called from up stairs to campbells headset in his helmet but that may take too long and this offense doesnt need another thing to delay our play calling.
questions:
so campbell and our receivers have to make the same read for any adjustment/audible from the original playcall?
and they have to trust that they make the same read and are on the same page?
WOW that is alot of ESP going on there, for this too work it seems you would need the same receivers and quarterback for years so they can gel and get some serious chemistry going on . . . plus football intelligent and dedicated "students of the game" players
does rabach still handle the O line audibles/guys to pick up on run and pass plays? im guessing yes . . .
more threads should be like this, dissecting and discussing actual redskins football Xs and Os . .
go skins!
