As for fan voting, am I correct in understanding that the
combined fan votes account for 1 single vote? For example, if 1 million people vote Romo for Pro-bowl QB, doesn't that just count as 1 vote for him? Then, all the other votes come from players/coaches?
If that's the case, then it's really not as much of a fan-based popularity contest as most would like to believe. However, it can become a player-based popularity contest where future HOFs get in on a mediocre year because of the respect they have around the league.
