I suspect Gibbs will stay on as head coach for at least one more year. After that, who knows. But I don't think he cares as much about what he does as head coach. I'm sure I'm wording this wrong so I don't want it to come across as he doesn't care. That's not the case at all. Obviously he cares. But his legacy as a head coach is firmly entrenched (should be at least). I suspect what is more important personally to him is leaving a positive legacy as a personnel man (and hopefully people can stop saying "well he picked Desmond Howard"). He left the Redskins with virtually nothing last time in terms of personnel.

While all of us no doubt want him to win another Super Bowl with Gibbs at HC, imagine if we won it with say Bruce Arians at HC and could say the team key players on the team (Campbell, Portis, Heyer, Montgomery, Blades, Landry, etc) was put together by Joe Gibbs, President.

But anyway, he should do what he wants. He's entitled to that.
