Man, this is awesome and brings up a question. I'm glad I didn't need to start a thread to delve into this for a second.

I was briefly thinking about Hall of Fame inductees and how you rarely see guys from the defensive side of the ball inducted. When you do, they are either lineman or linebackers for the most part. Rarely corner backs and safeties are more rare.

Get where I'm going....who was the last person to play saftey for their entire career inducted into the Hall of Fame? Is it possible, Taylor was the first potential HOF at the safety position we've seen in decades?

Can someone please verify this? Maybe I'm off. And before someone says Ronnie Lott, I believe he started his career as a cornerback and ended it at safety.
