Re: At least Peter King was respectful of Taylor
I wanted to hurl each time I heard Michael Wilbon remind us that it was his job to report Sean Taylor's past, and the “ugly theories” that he swore would unfold in the wake of this tragedy. He also couldn’t emphasize enough that it was also NOT his job to pacify Redskin fans.
All we wanted was respect while we mourned, while kids cut class to weep on Warpath, while I tried to fight tears on a NYC subway. All we wanted was a fair approach to journalism, and THEN report on the facts. I thought that Wilbon being a Chicago sports fan would have understood that. Guess it was all about the scoop.
I’m just thankful that arrests were made before Sally Jenkins went to print. And don’t get me started on that equally big tool, Tony Kornheiser.
