As for Gibbs, stupid mistake. He knows it, you know it, I know it. But I am not going to apologize for being a fan of his, and wanting him to stay as long as he wants to stay. In all honesty, he probably never should have come back in the first place. There's nothing he really could have done to improve his image with the fans. He had nowhere to go reputation wise but down. I believe we have the makings of a great QB who is going to lead us to great things long after Gibbs is gone. But no one will ever be appreciative of Gibbs for that.

Don't get me wrong, I'm really not trying to discount what we did in 2005. It was awesome. Portis, our O-line, and guys like Sean Taylor led us down an awesome stretch run. I love that Gibbs listened to the call of Portis and the O-line to put it on their shoulders. It was the best time I've had as an adult Skins fan. (I was 12 when we won our 3rd SuperBowl).
I don't like Joe Gibbs any less because of this second tenure. He got our owner to stop meddling, got us some great players including a franchise QB, got us a playoff win, and brought stability to an organization that was in disarray. But for a myriad of reasons it just hasn't really come together on the field. It's unfortunate because he's a great man and a great coach, but as far as wins vs losses it just hasn't worked out.
