They were saying that big stars do occasionally get preferential treatment when it relates to calls, and that it applies to all sports. How often did Jordan push off to get a clean shot at a jumper? How many times have you seen Shaq bang into someone, and not get called for a foul? And it applies to baseball too. Batters with a "good eye" get called balls that would be called strikes for lesser batters.

So I do think the Pats got a couple of iffy calls in their favor yesterday, but I find it hard to believe that it's some league wide conspiracy. That would require far too many people and involve far too much risk to be viable.

I hear you but when a team is chasing perfection and there is a legitimate argument about whether or not they are the "best ever," you want each victory to feel authentic. Right or wrong, I didn't feel like the best team won yesterday...
