First of all, lets differentiate between true humility and condescension. Truly humble teams do not run up the score just to make a point, do not act like the rest of the world is at fault because they dared to catch them cheating, do not give such asinine press conferences etc...
These clowns "say" the right things but it's so obviously contrary to what they truly believe that you lose respect for them when you watch them. You know you're being lied to. I'd respect them alot more if they gave up the fake "we're just an ok team, trying to win a game like any other, hopefully we can handle the jets this week" bullshit and admitted that they were a) looking to make a point that their previous run of wins was not tainted and that b) they were specifically going to make the Jets sorry they ever brought up Spygate.
I honestly never liked the patriots, but I never disliked them either. I was truly ambivalent. But Brady has gradually assumed his coach's personality and that's a bad thing. He's become very bitter and unhappy when he's interviewed, which makes you think, "if you're so unhappy in success, then you must be a truly miserable human being." The end effect is that now I root against them. I hope a team that appreciates success can be able to defeat them, because this whole "Patriot Way" b.s. is getting old.
