not only that, the big play by reed was also a failure to read the defense... when a safety lines up within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage, he's either playing man on a receiver, or he's coming to blitz... guess how many times safeties playying man vs WRs yesterday? that's right zero... brunell should have known better... even so, its entirely betts fault for not blocking it and not continuing the play (i doubt betts has as much practice reading Ds though)
