What so many people fail to realize - and it's the reason we've had this stupid divide on the site between "Kool Aid drinkers" and "Haterade drinkers" - is that there is a huge distinction between what you THINK will happen and what you WANT (or hope) to happen.
There's not a single one of us who stopped watching the games, stopped reading everything we could about the team, stopped discussing the team, or started cheering for another team. We all remained devoted fans. That's the one thing we all have in common here.
Our only differences throughout the year were in our opinions of how good the team was. Being a fan does not mean you think they're always going to win. Being a fan means you love them, whether they win or lose.
Retarded thread. Please start getting what it means to be a fan.

That's the most sane post I've read so far in this thread.
Case in point: as a die hard fan for decades I obviously watched this season's matchup with the Patriots. Did I
want us to win? Absolutely! Did I
hope that we'd win? Of course! Did I watch every last down and second of the game? As always.
But did I honestly think that we would beat what is possibly the best football team of the modern era? Hell no. Common sense says we'd get our asses kicked, and we did.
Why some people can't grasp this concept is beyond me. Being a fan does not mean you turn your brain off and float around on hope and warm fuzzy feelings. You can be a fan and be rational at the same time, believe it or not.
Honestly, this thread is no different than that stupid "Amnesty for Kool-Aid Drinkers" debacle of a couple weeks ago.
