I'm not sold on Caldwell. Something about him just screams "unreliable". Maybe it's all the drops.
But seriously, I hate to reuse a hallowed nickname but I wonder if he's not a poor man's 50/50. About half the time he makes good plays but the other half he seems like a liability. McCardell was far more reliable this season than Caldwell, if only he weren't 65 years old.
As far as the other receivers, the only one I am set on is Randle El. Even though I think he's more than capable of being a WR1, he will probably be a guy like Houshmandzadeh who is a bigger threat when he's a WR2 across from another home run threat, than being the central figure in the passing game. The question is, what's going on with Santana? He'll always be a legend here after the Fedex Air Delivery Miracle against Dallas a few years ago, but I wonder if he's still got it all together. Sure didn't look like it tonight.
