No, but Carroll has almost everything to lose, and very little to gain.
His salary is estimated between $2-$3 million/year, he lives in SoCal, he's got the pick of the litter when it comes to high school talent, and USC is likely to be a top five contender for years to come.
Not to mention the job of a college coach is pretty damn cushy. Wine and dine the boosters, take home a fat paycheck, because the NCAA limits how much teams can practice.
Not so in the NFL. Yeah he might make a few extra million, but in exchange he'll work 18 hours/day, 360 days/year.
