If the Rooney Rule were REALLY about hiring/interviewing minorities in all coaching searches, then the Colts would be required to interview a minority other than a Black man if Caldwell is their anointed successor. Shouldn't they be required to interview an Asian Pacific Islander? There are players of that ethnicity in the league but not a whole lot of head coaches of that ethnicity.

The Rooney Rule is not about "minorities"; it is merely stated that way to make it less offensive.
