That being said, the situation has gotten out of hand it seems and Snyder must accept at least some of the blame for that.

The situation is "out of hand" in the eyes of the media and fans, both of which know very little of what is actually going on behind the scenes. We haven't heard a peep from any Redskins official during this process, so until then we only have ourselves to blame for this self induced panic.
What did Snyder say when Gibbs stepped down? Something about being patient and going through the process? Sounds like he's doing exactly what he said he was going to do.
