From today's Washington Post
washingtonpost.com
"Snyder and Vinny Cerrato, the team's executive vice president for football operations, spent Monday and Tuesday attempting to contact and interview
assistant coaches Fassel wanted -- league sources said they included Baltimore's Rex Ryan, Seattle's Jim Zorn and San Diego's John Ramsdell -- but contractual stipulations precluded all but Zorn from interviewing."
I hope this puts to rest the notion that they are going after assistant coaches without the potential head coach's consent. Although it's interesting to note that the other day the Post also indicated Zorn was wanted by Williams.
I don't know why they even bothered talking to the Chargers. Norv isn't going to do the Redskins any favors.
