It seems like every month or two (and more often in the off-season) someone put up one of these salary cap threads. The truth is, no one really knows. Like Matty, I'll believe the "cap hell" theory when I see it (I don't think we will). It is an ongoing process, and I believe the idea is that if we start winning, players will WANT to stay, even if it means a little less money, or distributing it differently. Of course all players won't want to do that, but I think when Gibbs refers to players that are "real Redskins", that is what he means.
It works for the Patriots....players stay there (and other players want to go there) because they win. Even the Eagles are that way...they just let the players leave for a year or two, then come back.
I think we will see minimal turnover the next couple years, especially compared to what we've seen the past few years. Yeah, we'll probably lose some players we'd rather keep and have to replace them, but that's how it is with EVERY team.
