Brandon Flowers is 5'9", ran a 4.6 at the combine, and had a 30" vertical. So he is a short guy, with very little explosion, who played the boundary corner at Tech (i.e. shorter side of the field). If I'm not mistaken, Tech runs a ton of zone coverage and their corners are not asked to play much man. Corners coming out of that program have not had a whole of success, with the exception (maybe, but you could argue he is overrated) DeAngelo Hall. But Hall has elite athletic skills, which Brandon Flowers obviously does not possess. No thanks to Flowers, no thanks to Phillips, unless they drop down to the 2nd or 3rd (for Flowers) rounds.
