Browns, I would be surprised if they went .500 next year. Derek Anderson is no guarantee to be any better than we thought he would be before last year (beware the career year), Jamal Lewis is a near lock to be worse, and their offensive line did an amazing job avoiding injury last year, unlikely to happen again as the 2007 Redskins would show.

Their defense will be tougher against the run, but they spun their wheels in place against the pass. Corey Williams will provide some pressure, but they dealt their best CB to get Shaun Rogers, and they don't have any draft picks to improve with on that side of the ball.

I see 7-9 for them at best, but much, much better in 2009.
I don't see the 49ers winning unless Alex Smith proves to be a franchise QB and meets the expectation the team has had of him. I think Cleveland will be much better b/c they have a good QB in Anderson and while yes he could have the career slump, he still has a young Brady Quinn behind him in the depth chart, and I think that will be a good pressure to keep anderson in line. And besides, Anderson performed well as a QB in the AFC, which is a much tougher place to play than the NFC (especially the NFC west).
